Description
Straight from our witches' workshop to you come these beautiful wands.
The wood for these wands are harvested from deadfall branches only, taken with respect and with permission. We use an antique japanese pull-saw to trim where needed, and do our best to leave the branch in its natural state as much as possible.
Some of these are eucalypt, some are cedar, some are Australian hardwoods - each one is totally unique. The branches chosen are thick and hefty so these feel great in the hand and will serve you faithfully for a lifetime if treated with care.
Using a rock-hard resin based medium, we attach a large pure natural quartz crystal point to the branch, and then bind with twine for a beautiful natural look. Each crystal is matched to the perfect branch for aesthetic balance.
They can be used as-is for those who prefer a minimalist look, or they can be personalised in a wide variety of ways - stain or paint them, use pyromancy to burn in a design of your choosing - add wire wrapping, clay, crystals, Ribbon, feathers, bells, charms - the choice is yours.
You will receive:
- One wand, intuitively chosen for you, similar to those pictured.
- A decorations pack of ribbon, cord, feathers, bells and charms in the colour of your choice.
- A spell scroll with a dedication ritual for your wand so you can consecrate it and make it your very own.
The Wand is a tool synonymous with witchcraft and is used as conduit for power. This tool evolved from ceremonial staffs for kings and high religious officials. For ancient officials, the staff or wand was an overt symbol of power and authority, ranging from the rod of Moses to the scepter of a king or queen. A "wand" was also a unit of measurement in ancient times in the British Isles. In modern Witches’ practice, the wand has come to be used for directing or channeling mystical powers and energies. Wands are associated with the element of fire in the Tarot. The element of fire is associated with power and energy, and thus the wand is a tool for directing energy or the will. Wands are also heavily associated with magical transformation.
