Description
Ninkasi is the ancient Sumerian goddess of ale. Daughter to the King of Uruk and the High Priestess of Inanna, the goddess of procreation.
Born of sparkling fresh water, she is the goddess of alcohol. Ninkasi is said to sate the heart and satisfy desire.
Translation of ancient Sumarian text dated of approximately 1800 BC found “A hymn to Ninkasi” which was a recipe for beer. It was said that she would prepare the beverage daily.
This statue of Ninkasi stands approximately 13cm tall, makes a great focus tool for divinity work, as well as making a beautiful accent to your altar.
