Archangel Uriel is mentioned in various religious texts related to Judaism, Catholicism, Anglican and Occult.
In Christianity, Uriel is known as the light (or flame) of God, guarding the Garden of Eden with a flaming sword. In Anglican tradition Uriel is the Patron Saint of the sacrament of confirmation as well as the keeper of beauty and light. In Hermetic Qabalah, Uriel is regarded as the Archangel of Earth and represents the North.
It is believed that Uriel uses his flaming sword to purify mental and emotional understanding.
