Witch School 2023
Dear Sister,
I know you.
For a long time, you’ve been searching.
Sometimes, you’re not even sure what for.
But you know, for certain, that there’s something more.
Sister, I see you.
Scouring the internet for information, joining groups in an effort to find your tribe, following people who ‘look like’ they’re good spiritual teachers …
… but your soul is craving something deeper.
Because you intuitively understand that social media is a highlights reel.
That great spiritual truths can’t be captured in an image carousel.
That true knowledge comes from real and physical experiences.
The High Priestess Witch School is all about giving you direct, face-to-face access to highly experienced witches, healers and practitioners, who want to share their knowledge with you. It’s also about growing and flourishing together in a space of witchhood, so that you can step fully into the witch you know, deep down, you were meant to be.
Witch School is a two day event, being held in 15th and 16th June, 2024.
It’s a season of magic, with a community focus on rebirth and renewal.
It’s when we focus on new beginnings, and deeper magical work.
At Witch School, we’ll help you connect to, and learn from, other individual witches in a safe, supportive, and structured way.
You’ll have a timetable of various 90 minute classes and lectures, which run over 8 hours each day. Classes will be led by experienced, genuine leaders and practitioners. These teachers know their stuff, and want you to know it too.
➟ Witchcraft 101: This beginners class teaches students everything they needed to know about being a modern witch.
➟ What's in the Cards?: Reading and divining with tarot cards.
➟ The Modern Priestess: Bringing back female divinity and goddess worship to the modern world.
➟ High Magic: An advanced magic class for experienced witches.
➟ The Southern Hemisphere Witch: Working with the seasons and sabbats in the southern hemisphere (did you know Halloween in Australia should be in April/May?)
➟ Climbing the World Tree: An exploration of Norse mythology, accessing liminal states, and connection to the tree of life, Yggdrasil.
➟ Moon Magick: Beginner and advanced techniques for drawing on the power of the moon in witchcraft and spellwork.
➟ Sigils, Signs, and Symbols: The history, evolution, creation, and application of sigils.
➟ The Book of Shadows: A practical class that teaches you how to create your own sacred book of shadows.
➟ Practical Spellcrafting: A fun an interactive dive into how to craft and perform spells.
➟ The Green Witch: How to work with the power of nature, plants, and herbs.
Tiyana J, Class of 2023
Every class is led by experienced and knowledgeable witches, with class sizes never larger than 30 people, so there’s plenty of time and space to have your questions answered.
While you’re waiting for your next class to start, you’ll be hanging out in the central Witch Market - a space full of local and Australian suppliers and makers, with everything from crystals, herbs, tarot & cards, books (yes, you still need books!), talismans, readings - everything you need to upscale your apothecary and tool chest.
And yeah, I’ll point out the bleeding obvious at this point:
The High Priestess Witch School is pretty much like living in a fantasy novel for the weekend.
Leela is the founder of High Priestess, a third-generation psychic, and a life-long student of goddesses and female divinity. Her mission is to bring goddess worship back to the mainstream. Leela is also a successful entrepreneur and a sought-after business speaker.
Leela will be teaching a series of advanced classes including Modern Priestess, High Magic, and Occult Branding.
Jade is a shadow worker and lunar witch, and an experienced course facilitator, who has taught courses such as the High Priestess Dedicant course and as part of the Priestess program.
Jade will be teaching deep shadow work in Walking the Shadows.
Polly is a practicing witch who continues to study and learn the craft. Polly speaks on the basics on Elemental Witchcraft, and how to access the four elements as a creative magical force.
Polly will be teaching an interactive class on the four elements in Earth, Air, Fire, Water.
Jenna is an eclectic pagan with a history obsession. She's also an award-winning screenwriter and filmmaker, who has completed multiple research projects into the history of film.
Jenna will be teaching an exploration of witches in pop culture in Witches on Film.
Tarryn is a crystal and art witch, who specialises as a Goddess artist. Using her unique process, she helps students to connect with their patron/matron goddess, through intuition, channeling and creativity.
Tarryn will be teaching Channel Your Goddess Guide, a practical art-focused class.
A solitary witch, Nicky commenced a lifelong interest in tarot at the age of 16, becoming professional in her early 20s. Using a rare 80-card deck, Nicky provides guidance and clarity, and believes tarot is an incredible tool for both receiving spiritual messages, and providing service to those in need.
Nicky will be teaching A Beginners Guide to Tarot.
Claire has been a practicing witch for many years. Her spiritual path is intricately woven with the elements and the moon phases - the foundations of her practice. Armed with a Bachelor's degree and First-Class Honours in History and Ancient Cultures, Claire’s thesis was on 16th Century Witchcraft Iconography.
Claire will be teaching about the burning times in Hunting for the Witch.
Suki is an astrologer and lover of all things witchy and woo woo. She’s obsessed with the stars and planets, and has been a practicing eclectic witch since she was a teenager. When Suki’s not stargazing (or moon gazing), she can be found reading tarot, buying far too many crystals and reading anything and everything esoteric.
Suki will be teaching beginner and advanced techniques in Moon Magick.
Lua Valentia Astor is a prolific writer with a diverse portfolio encompassing poetry, occult grimoires, and fiction literature. A Chaos Witch, Lua is the creator and curator of Specula, a premier online platform and community dedicated to Chaos Magic.
Lua will be teaching the history, evolution, creation, and application of sigils, in Sigils, Signs and Symbols.
Sarah’s spiritual practice is earth-centric and animistic in nature. She studies with the Order of Bards, Ovats and Druids, and works with the elements, natural world and animal kingdom. Sarah spends most of her time studying, divining, teaching and creating with the occult and environmental sciences.
Sarah will be co-teaching how to create a magical, safe space to craft magic, in Casting Your Circle.
Zenith Flume is a Women’s Mysteries Facilitator, ritualist, artist, and performer. Zenith teaches the magick of Earth-based cyclical wisdom and facilitates shamanic process work, for individuals and groups. Zenith is a Graduate of The School of Shamanic Womancraft, and has also studied DeathWalking, Fine Arts, and Ancient History.
Zenith will be teaching Cyclical Magick.
Samantha started practicing the craft more than 20 years ago, and describes herself as a Witch, Wiccan and Pagan. Celebrating the Wiccan Wheel of the Year is an integral part of her practice and she’s always been drawn more to coven and group work, over solitar practice. Her most used witchcraft tools are a Rider Waite-Smith Tarot deck and a Book of Shadows.
Samantha will be leading students through creating their own sacred book, in The Book of Shadows.
Angela (she/her) is a queer mystic from San Francisco/Kansas City, currently living on Gadigal country. She's read Tarot for major events held at the Art Gallery of NSW, University of NSW, and National Art School (Sydney). She also reads palms, receives information through soul blending, is a Medium and is currently expanding on psychic investigation.
Angela will be teaching Psychic Development.
Magick has been close to Yushah’s heart for decades, and in particular spellcrafting. At heart they are a weaver so whether it is layering spells, reading the cards, or simply weaving a story, Yushah looks for the connections around us all. Their magick has been influenced by everything from Islamic healing practices to Discordianism, all woven together in a constantly growing tapestry they call ‘my Path.’
Yushah will bring practical magick, an easy vibe (and a lot of fun!) to Practical Spellcrafting.
Raquael is an eclectic Green Witch, who also teaches Hoodoo, Stregheria, Green Magic, Divination, and Witchcraft. She grew up in a line of strega witches on her father’s side, and off grid with her mother who is a medium and spiritual worker. Raquael spent most of her childhood learning stories of the land from her elders in NT and SA. She spent most childhood holidays around Uluru and has a deep connection and respect to the earth.
Raquael is a returning teacher, and will be delivering The Green Witch.

This is the school I wish I’D had when I was first starting out AND when I needed to expand my practice decades later. There’s been nothing like this until now - we’re pretty sure this is a world-first!

Are you interested in learning about Witchcraft?
Are you tired of being told you can’t be a witch unless you are initiated?
Do you love the word ‘witch’ for its historical and feminist connotation?
Do you want to meet other folks who are just as curious about this stuff as you are?
Do you feel like everyone else has their witchy stuff together and you don’t?
Do you work or learn better in a safe, structured, inclusive, and supportive environment?
Are there people in your life telling you that Witchcraft is evil, but you don’t think so?
Do you want to learn about Witchcraft without spending hundreds of hours on the internet, for the basics?
Do you want to feel confident in your own path, even if it doesn’t look like anyone else’s?
Even one yes - even one cautious ‘I think so?’’ - means Witch School has a desk for you.
It means your birthright is calling.
Accommodation is not included in the ticket price. After you've booked, we'll send you out a welcome letter which will include some suggested places to stay. We'll ALSO send you a link to a private networking group where you can find room mates / couches to crash on!
The focus of all High Priestess content is the feminine and Goddess Worship. We strive to ensure our paganism is intersectional in every way - if you're interested in the topics presented, this is a safe, welcoming and inclusionary space. We welcome all members of the LGBTQI+ community, and men!

For those who are coming on a GA ticket, you're welcome to bring your own lunch - maybe even have a bit of a picnic!
Anyone who is interested in Witchcraft is welcome! Please keep in mind that the sessions are being designed with an adult audience in mind, and the event isn't suitable for young children. Interested mature Teens are more than welcome, but we suggested parental oversight in choices of classes, as some may cover topics that are a bit more adult.
In the weeks leading up to the event, we'll send you a link to register for the classes you'd like to attend. There will be multiple classes running concurrently, each for a 1.5 hour block. You'll choose your classes and receive a personal timetable. Class sizes ARE limited, so once you've locked in your timetable, we'll only be able to swap classes around on the day if there are spaces available - so choose wisely!
Cultural appropriation is a really serious issue within the spiritual community - at High Priestess we believe in decolonisation and respect for Indigenous Cultures. We work with all of our speakers to ensure that their presentations fall within our guidelines on this and are constantly working to find representatives from different cultures to share their experiences.
If you’re not 100% sure, that’s fine too! We’ll always be part of your people, and you’ll be one of ours.
But right now, this early bird price is one of THE CHEAPEST I’ve offered in the LAST DECADE.
That’s something to think about.
Love and laughter,
